Arthur's Day '11

Yes, I'm aware that Arthur's Day has passed long time ago but sorry lah, I'm only free for blogging time right now! Been so busy for the past few weeks with I don't know what, but I just seem and feel so busy! To the extent that I don't even have much time for myself hence the irregular updates now. Was busy tutoring my friends for Accounts over the weekends. Somehow I'm glad that I took Accounts back in SPM and A-Levels. Makes the subject so much more easy for me now when I look at my friends struggling with that subject. Kekeke. Plus, Accounts has always been one of my favourite subjects too! No joke! Just that I really died kao kao in A-Levels for all subjects including my favourite Accounts.

Learning basic Accounts all over again feels really nostalgia to me. It is no doubt that I miss my A-Level life in MCKL especially Mr. Fern's Accounting class. If only I can turn back time..... ah. Let's skip with all that speech, shall we?

So anyway! It was a really last minute plan. I was asked if I want to go for Arthur's Day a few days before the event but at first I didn't feel like going that much. And then on that day itself, which was a Friday, my friend called and asked me again if I fancy going for the event as he has 3 extra tickets. So yes, in the end decided to go mainly because of Taio Cruz(!) and since it's for free, why not right?! Kekeke. So the other two extra tickets of course went to the bf and Janice. She was the first person that I thought of inviting when I heard there's an extra ticket. At first I was worried that she might not be able to click with my friends Kok Hong and Aaron (the guys I met from Maxis PC Fair last year), but my worry was for nothing! As expected from her, she's a socialize baby and she clicked alright with them. Kekeke.

The journey there was, however, very horrible. It was epic jam and I think our journey to there took us almost 2 hours when by right we should reach there within half an hour only. Can you imagine how bad the jam is? It is so very very bad to the extent that some people rather just leave their drivers stuck in the jam and walk to the place instead. The first man who did it was an ang moh. Really salute him! Until I saw more and more people doing so.... ._. Tempted to get down of the car and walk to the venue as well but then of course I wouldn't leave my poor bf in the car, will I? Kekeke. And then halfway through the jam there was this man who came down from a truck, walked to the bushes and did his small business there ._. Oh my. I know KL traffic is horrible, but I must admit that this was my first time seeings things like this after so many years. Not only the peeing part but also the part where people actually got down from the cars and walked to the venue.

This picture did no justice to the jam seriously :D

When we saw this at the roundabout, we knew we were reaching! Like finally ._.

Impatient already! Walk even faster!

And finally! We reached and thank goodness it didn't take us very long to look for a parking. Silly me for taking my whole Canon DSLR big fat red bag with the camera in it. I should have figured out that no cameras are allowed in a concert but really, it didn't cross my mind at all! T_T I went there with high expectations to take many photos but boohoo, the security saw the big fat red bag with a Canon word on it and stopped us. So yes, no choice but to walked all the way back to the car to keep the camera. Sighh ;(

This is the one and only nice photos taken with my baby DSLR before being brought back to the car :(

But luckily Janice brought a digital cam as well! So yes, at least the night didn't go to a waste because we still did capture some photos for the sake of memories. Kekeke. Should have brought my digital cam too but to be honest, I seldom use that now since I have my 600D ._. Shall start utilizing it again!

Strong girl yo! :P

I've no idea why the frequency was so bad in the area that it was so hard to make a call. Plus it was crazily packed with humans that it is impossible to find them if it weren't for the one miserable successful call. Turned out that they were in the Arthur's Lounge waiting for us.

Had to pay RM15 per person to enter the lounge and it includes one pint of Guinness as well. It was our first time to Arthur's Day, so we actually thought we were going to be served bottomless of Guinness whole night! Have to admit that we're so jyakun or innocent that not only we do not get any bottomless drinks, but we also have to pay to drink! :( But well, RM15 is okay lah for a pint. The lounge was more like a place for people to enjoy the air-cond instead of standing outdoor and sweat before the main concert starts. It was also less packed, so we could really spend some time in there before going out again.

And guess what?! We were allowed to serve our own beer too!

It was no doubt my first time trying this. Kekeke. Okay lah, we don't actually drink the pint that we pulled. We have to leave our glass for the next person and take the previous person's glass instead because it had to settle down first before being drinkable. And no, not that we're using used glass. The glasses were taken from the bar itself, obviously.

My baby Janice and yours truly xD

Our first group picture!

After all the picture takings and finished up with our drinks, we went outdoor to wait for Taio Cruz!

Initially we were quite far from the stage but we slowly made our way to the front! Not exactly front front but still, quite near to the stage lah :DD

♥♥♥

A picture to give you a rough idea on how crowded it was!

My favourite DJs, JJ and Ean! They're the only DJs that I like. After listening to them, I find other DJs are so boring. No offence but maybe it's because I tend to change channels whenever there isn't any music playing, except when it was JJ and Ean on air. Then again I only listen to the radio when I'm driving. But really, they're the best DJs I've ever known! It's all thanks to them that most of my mornings are filled with laughter during my journey to college. Yes, sometimes I even practically laughed out loud to myself in the car listening to them ._.

Making noises to bring Taio Cruz out!

Finally he's here! While everyone else was shouting "Taio Cruz! Taio Cruz!", Janice was there shouting "Tayar Kerus! Tayar Kerus!" LOL. Thank God no one threw rotten eggs/tomatoes at her or bash her up xD

Started with his famous song Break Your Heart and the crowd immediately went crazy including us xD

After much screaming, shouting, encoring, and dancing, the night has finally come to an end.

Poor baby (Janice) because she was feeling dizzy halfway through the concert. Probably due to the 2 pints of Guinness (I didn't feel like drinking so I gave her mine after taking a few sips) plus her craziness (screaming and dancing) plus the crowded place. Indeed, these kinda crowded concerts tend to make people feel dizzy. On our way out, we saw a man who fainted and some medics were assisting him ._.

Fuiyoh, Kok Hong

Hah! I have a prove of Aaron bullying Janice xD Hahaha. It was a coincidence actually. She was only rubbing her eyes to ease her dizziness. Nothing whatsoever like what I mentioned earlier :P

Unlike most of them, we stayed until the very end. Mainly because baby was too dizzy to even make her way out of the place, so we decided to stay until she's feeling better. And it was a right choice because there were fireworks!

Okay, obviously those aren't fireworks ._. The real fireworks are here !

Some shots before we left :))

Shit! My fat, dual-toned arms! ._.

My baby! ♥

& that's the end of Arthur's Day! Wonder why they don't call it Arthur's Night instead since the celebration is during the nighttime, but then Arthur's Night sounds way weirder than Day ._.

'Twas indeed a tiring yet fun and crazy night for me. Glad that baby Janice enjoyed the night as well despite her dizziness :P

And as expected, heavy traffic at the exit of the place again as everyone was leaving ._. Sat in the car for a while before starting our journey back. Went over to In-House cafe with them for supper! It's so convenient having a 24-hours cafe opened nearby my house. Can go for supper/late dinner anytime but of course, I don't usually do that because it's so fattening to eat after 8pm loh :P

Baby's XO Fried Rice

Sunny side up

Bf's pork burger. Ohmy, got addicted to it right after my first bite!

And that sums up our night!
