Bong'e Korean BBQ Restaurant @ Ampang

Few days ago, JJY told me about a new Korean BBQ restaurant nearby her Uncle Jang restaurant. Since I've been somewhat craving for Korean food for quite some time, the bf decided that tonight we shall have Korean for dinner. So yay! We went to try out this new restaurant which JJY introduced. No thanks to my zero sense in direction, we took quite some time looking for it when it was just around the corner. Silly us!

Nonetheless, we still managed to arrive after turning for a few rounds.

As usual, right after you've placed the orders, they will start serving the side dishes. What got me excited is that they have my favourite peanuts & anchovies! Trust me, I used to refill that dish for at least 3 times back then :P

Hungry us waiting for food. Can't wait to dig into our foods!

Sorry but the hungry princess can't wait to eat! :P

Our must-have dish whenever we visit a Korean restaurant - Bibimbap RM15! Too bad they do not have the ones in hot stone pot :((

What makes their bibimbap more special compare to other restaurants? Well, I'm not sure about you guys but this was our first time having bibimbap and being able to control the amount of sauce we want! Yes, the bowl only has rice and the dishes in it but without the sauce. You are free to add in however much sauce you want according to your preference. Back in the Korean restaurant that we used to dine at, we always had to ask for an extra bowl of sauce because one bowl is just not enough. But this time, we do not have to go through the hassle anymore! The bf was very stingy with the sauce at first until I had to help him with it :P

The colour is coming up.. Mmm... Looks yummy....

Taste yummy too? I think he looks quite the seductive here LOL.

Tadaa! The end product. And yes, it tasted awesome! Heavenly! Mmmm....

Couldn't remember the name of this dish but it was okay-okay lah. I still love the bibimbap best! RM18

We couldn't decide on which meat to order because most of them are a tad bit too expensive, until the waiter recommended this pork neck, which is the cheapest meat in the menu - RM18. Of course, they do the cooking for you. But we did not know when it was time for us to start eating it until I felt something wasn't right. The meat was left there for too long with no one attending to it. When I flip it over, it was a little overcooked. Okay lah, still edible but I'd prefer it being just nice. And since it's the cheapest among all, I wouldn't complain much on the taste. But! I'll make sure to try the other meat on our next visit. Kekeke.

Was very tempted to order the LA Garbi but it costs RM40+ . u__________u Next time we shall just order a bowl of bibimbap and a plate of meat regardless of the price! Because two bowls of main dish with another plate of meat were just too much for the both of us.

What's Korean cuisine without their vegetables?! :PP Trust me, all the Korean restaurants I've been to serve this. It's to wrap up the dishes like popiah!

These two taste so good that I had to ask for refill, especially the one on the right! Peanut and anchovies, my favourite!

Our bloated faces. And my happy face because I had such an awesome dinner! ^^

And another uniqueness of this restaurant is that instead of serving watermelons after your meal like all other Korean restaurants, they serve drinks instead! I'm not sure what drink was it but it tasted flowery? Lol! Something like herbal tea I suppose.

All in all, I would definitely visit there again for their bibimbap and LA Garbi! :))

I too treat myself to Korean food from time to time though I have not tried this outlet but I suppose with the many Korean restaurants I have tried out, most carry the same type of menu.
