We were supposed to go few weeks back but we didn't have the time and it was fully booked on one of the Saturdays. Hence we only went today, right after Siew Wei's class but then she had to rush back for class again at 5pm. Poor girl, while I'm so relaxed here. Kekeke :P
At first I was quite worried because I read from a blog (was looking for the saloon's contact number to make appointment and came across this lady's blog) giving bad comments on this saloon. The lady mentioned in her blog that the service is very bad and the quality is not up to par when it was written there professional haircut, but she did not get any professional service at all. I forgot what the whole story was, but I remember that she wrote there she had asked for a full refund and she got it. So yes, upon reading that, I was worried that we might experience the same thing as her. But as we have bought the voucher, there is nothing else we can do but to go for it, no? Or burn our RM38, which is a total waste. However, as I read till the end, I was somewhat relieved because the lady went to another branch; not the branch that Siew Wei and I are going to.
So this morning, the best friend came to pick me up after her class and off we went to the saloon.
The first lady seemed delighted to see us and welcomed us warmly. At first I was also worried that they will not welcome us because we got cheap deals from the Internet and from what I read in the earlier blog, she stated that the workers did not seem to welcome her the moment they saw her holding the online voucher. Thank goodness, the two ladies who attended to us are very friendly.
Was trying to steal a picture of her when she suddenly looked at me, hence the expression. Cute, no? :P
While Siew Wei was having her hair cut, I had my manicure and pedicure first. They only have two ladies working, so thank goodness in some way that the saloon had no one else except for both of us. That way we are able to gain full attention from the people attending to us.
I've always wanted to buy OPI nail polishes but they are so very expensive T__T That explains why I only buy from Elianto. Sigh.
Honestly speaking, it was my first time doing manicure and pedicure. Although I wouldn't exactly call this a mani & pedi because apparently, the deal from the voucher is just filing, shaping, treatments, massaging, and doing whatever they were supposed to do, except for painting the nails ._. So I added another RM15 to paint my toe nails. Anyhow, it was actually quite the nice and comfortable to have your nails beautified. And I can also see how much dirt/cuticles were removed from my toe nails T____T
Since I was in the saloon already, I was thinking if I should dye my hair or not. In the end, I decided to dye because my roots are showing so clearly and it's so ugly to have my hair half black and half whatever colour that I dyed last time. Besides, Chinese New Year is coming! So yes, why not pamper myself a little bit more right? :P
As usual, I was so fickle-minded and didn't know which colour to choose and needed someone else to decide for me ._.
So excited to see how my hair colour turns out! But nonetheless, I'd be happy also no matter what colour it is, as long as it's not half black and half whatever colour it is anymore T___T
And this! It was my first time seeing this new thing. They no longer have the big round machine that goes round and round your head which takes forever. This is the new machine (or not, I don't know!) and it doesn't take as long! Looks very funny though .__.
After spending nearly 3 hours at the saloon, finally we're done! Poor Siew Wei though, because she had to wait for me while the princess gets her hair nicely done :P

This time, I did not went over the edge and did something crazy. I just got my hair trimmed a little here and there. Haha! But really, as I saw her new hair, I was very, very tempted to cut like that too! As I mentioned earlier, I've been wanting that kind of hairstyle for a long time. But knowing my hair nature - thick and wavy - it won't look good with my hair. And it will be very puffy and thick and maybe ugly if I cut that hairstyle u.u
So, I just did this!
And after having a new haircut and hair colour, of course the right thing any girls would do is to....
CAMWHORE !!
Excuse me for my vanity but it's been such a long time since I camwhored and post narcissist pictures of myself :P
And also because my hair will only be this nice for today, and it will be a shit mess again as usual after I washed it myself tomorrow T___T

Have I ever mentioned before that I super love, love, love going to the saloon? Not necessarily to cut hair, but just to have a wash + dry + treatment. Or maybe can leave treatment out. I love the smell of my hair after getting washed by them and not to forget, my hair gets so smooth and silky as well. And also I always wonder how do they blow-dry my hair into such nice wave T___T
I told the bf before to watch and learn how they do it, but still, it isn't as easy as it seems .___.
Super love how they always make my hair curl inside! My hair usually curls into one side only, which looks super weird because when one side is perfectly curled inside, the other side will be perfectly curled outside. If you understand what I mean. Heh.
Sigh. If I could I would not wash my hair for as long as I can, but then I can't even stand not washing my hair a day because it gets itchy and/or oily >_____>
I once said to a friend of mine that if I ever get rich in the future or married to a filthy rich husband, Imma visit the saloon weekly just to wash my hair. And maybe do treatment once in a while. Oh wells. That's only if I ever get that rich u.u
All in all, I am very satisfied with my hair right now! Wouldn't say so tomorrow after I wash my hair by myself though. And also the two friendly ladies have made the trip more enjoyable. I like how they tried to converse with me because then it wouldn't be so boring, because as we all know it, going to the saloon can be very boring at times because we can't do anything but just sit and stare stupidly at our own reflection (and the more I stare at my own reflection, the more depressed I get because I can see how round my face is now). Which explains why I tend to fall asleep most of the time. Hohoho.
Oh and another thing I like about this saloon is that the lady doesn't pester me into using better shampoo, conditioner, treatment and whatnot. I am sure most of you have experienced it before. While your hairstylist washes your hair, he/she will ask you if you want to use better products which costs bla bla bla, and then when the total comes out, you'd be shock. I always face these kinda problems and being me, I don't really know how to say 'no', which always results in me saying 'yes' and paying a lot more T___T And then being regretful afterwards u___u
PS: I found another angry lady's blog, telling her readers not to do spa perm at Niko. I'm not sure which branch she's talking about but that was in 2009. Nevertheless, seeing so many bad comments about this saloon, I wouldn't quite dare to recommend this saloon to anyone. Because as far as I did enjoy myself there, I wouldn't want people bashing me up in the future saying this saloon sucks. In my humble opinion, it isn't as bad, so yes. Maybe I'm lucky to have these two ladies attending to me, who knows? I would just say that I did not regret buying this voucher and going to this saloon, because it's not very often that one finds a suitable hairstylist for oneself, and I think I just found one! And I might even consider going back there in the future (;
