Spontaneity Fun !

On Monday, the bf and I went up to Genting Highlands with a friend of his and his friend's grandmother because they wanted to go to the casino, whereas the bf and I just wanted to escape from the KL's crazy hot weather. 2 months more and I can go to the casino too!

Anyway, since the bf took leave for Tuesday, we planned to pay a visit to the Zoo Negara. We've been wanting to visit that place since long, long time ago, but never had the chance or mood. Why? Because everyone keeps telling us that our national zoo is smelly, dirty and nothing much to see.

It was funny how all these came about. First, I invited Chun Yee because I know he doesn't mind going anywhere and he's just so sporting like that. Second, I was somewhat chatting with Aaron on FB and then I decided 'Hey, why not ask him along?' . So I did, but he told me his first day of work is tomorrow (Tuesday). Seeing no one else can make it, I decided to drop the plan and just stay home with the bf. Who knew, on the next day which was Tuesday, Aaron called the bf at 11am and told him that he will only start his work next month, so he asked if the Zoo plan is still on. So yes, we woke up and I contacted Chun Yee. At 1.30pm, everyone was gathered at my house discussing where to go - Zoo Negara or Melaka Zoo or A'Famosa or just go Melaka for a tour. In the end, we decided on Zoo Negara because it was too last minute to drive all the way to Melaka ._.

Went for brunch at one of my favourite 'pan mee' shops and by the time we reached the zoo, it was already 3pm. And the zoo closes at 5pm -___-;; Nonetheless, we still carried on.

Chun Yee, the superbly crazy driver! But useful when we are in a rush :P

Aaron Lim

I don't know why but I was somewhat surprised to see that they actually do have  mini tour buses!

The excited kids :P

Giraffe!

I can't believe how near we were to the giraffes T_T  So nice lorr.

And elephants too!

Purchase the sugarcane for RM3 and you can feed the elephant! And wow, as hard as the sugarcane, the elephant finished it within seconds ._. I never knew elephants' mouth is so strong T__T

I'm amazed that these storks are in the open and they can walk around as they wish .__.

The black one must be the boss because it looks the oldest among them! :P

Trust me, they can stay in this positing for a very, very long time ! It's hilarious when there is a few of them doing like that. Hahaha! Preying on the fish perhaps.

Running like lil kids xD

A thorn among roses? Reminds me of 'The Ugly Duckling' u___u

I didn't know ostrich sits like that. Must be very tired for them T__T

Eggs! But why is it in green colour? :O

This turkey must be lucky to escaped from being dinner for Christmas :P

Trying to scare the peacock so that it will open up -.-;;

I think swans are beautiful :)

A lot of deer! Too bad all of them were busy eating and didn't bother to entertain us at all pft.

Moomoooooo

We were dead thirsty and so thankful for these vending machines!

Malayan Gaur. The face damn 'yong sui' heh :P

Cute!

Hyenas! Remember the 3 silly characters in Lion King? :P

3 huge rocks ._.

This tortoise looks as though it's smiling, don't you think so?

This mini crocodile actually looks quite pretty IMO. And it looks fake staying like that without moving an inch that we thought it was just a fake thing, until it moved a little -_-;;

Do you notice the white mice inside the snake's cage? I wonder if it's still alive today T__T Poor mice.

Posing like a boss!

Heh. I skipped all the snake pictures because I can't stand looking at them T___T

Tapir!

 It was already 5pm and the zoo is supposed to be closed, but then we insisted going on because we hadn't see the bears and penguins yet! And I so want to see them but we didn't know where they are T___T

And after walking round and round, finally we saw the bears!

This one looks old and fierce

Mini bears! Okay, not that mini actually .___.

This bear was making so much noise banging the door. Joking. It was scratching against the door Idk why ._.

What's this!?

Cat fish. The fishes inside are so huge omg T__T

Before leaving, a jump shot is a must! (;

Love this picture!

I know lah I'm short, don't need to bend already right. But I was trying to escape from the sunlight, hence the bending down pft.

:DD

Oh, and thank goodness the gates weren't locked because we came out at 6pm. So worried that we might get locked inside and have to spend the night there LOL.

The car that brought us around :D

Honestly speaking, the zoo isn't that bad at all. Everyone who told me that the zoo is smelly, dirty and nothing to see, they ought to go to the zoo and eat back their words! Just because Malaysia is so well-known for lousy facilities and service etc etc, doesn't mean everything is that bad. But obviously, if you compare with Singapore Zoo or any other zoos, then our National Zoo is no match.

At first I was worried that the two other guys might find it boring, but thank goodness for their sporting-ness, all of us actually had a lot of fun! The last time that all of us visited the zoo was gazillion years back when we were still a kid. So yes, it was actually quite a nice trip for us to refresh our memory a little on what our Zoo Negara looks like :))

Since I've been to the Singapore Zoo and Zoo Negara, I shall target the Melaka Zoo next. Kekeke!

While not knowing where to go, the bf suggested for us to go have dinner at Restoran Makanan Teow Chew. We just been there the day before, and already paying another visit on the very next day! This is how crazily in love I am with their claypot chicken rice. It is by far my one and only favourite place for Claypot Chicken Rice and I've been their loyal customer ever since I was a young girl! :D

Iced red bean. At first I was quite disgusted with the look and thought of it because who drinks red bean soup with ice and in a cup like that?! Anyone in their right minds would order a warm red bean in bowl, the typical red bean soup. But once I took a sip of it, I had to take back my words. It actually taste good .___.

They serve 'teow chew' porridge too, as the name says it. Whenever I feel like eating porridge, the first place that comes in mind is here too! This place is one of my favourite restaurants of all time, no joke! They started out as a hawker stall by the roadside and years later, they expanded their business successfully and opened a shop in Taman Desa Aman. I used to go there very often, until one day I found out that they've closed down and they even pasted a notice saying "Closed Permanently" . I was devastated because I thought I was never ever going to find a good claypot chicken rice like that anymore.

Then the bf brought me to another shop that serves claypot chicken rice; the shop that he claimed has very nice claypot chicken rice as well. But no, the taste was different. It wasn't as good as this shop. And guess what?! One day as we were driving along the road outside Leisure Mall, we passed by a shop that looks so familiar and similar to the shop that we visited so often for their claypot chicken rice. And true enough, it is one of my favourite restaurants! I couldn't believe my eyes at that moment. My claypot chicken rice is finally back again T______T

Anyway, there is a story behind why they closed down the old shop and moved to a new one. I just got to heard about it yesterday the whole story behind it, but anyhow, no matter what the story is, I'm just glad that one of my favourite restaurants is back to business. Yeaaayy! ^^

So that's all about my love for claypot chicken rice >____>

Over dinner, Chun Yee suddenly mentioned about prawn fishing out of nowhere. Speak of randomness. Without considering much, we all decided to go for prawn fishing after dinner! But before that, Chun Yee wanted to go home to get a change of clothes because he wore jeans and collar-tee. To ZOO. Crazy fella wear so nice to zoo -___-;;

He then told us that once we reached his house, we wouldn't feel like going for prawn fishing anymore. And damn right he was. His room is so comfortable and cozy, the minute I sat there, I was so lazy to go out already. What more, his super cute Poodle, Lucky, was what made me stay! :P

The one and only leng lui of the day :PP

The three leng zais of the day

And the superbly adorable Poodle named Lucky!

Proud owner of Lucky

^^

Then we went to the karaoke room and the guys started singing. Me, as usual, just sat there and listen to the song while playing with the cameras and phone. I don't mind going karaoke with friends but I almost never sing most of the time. I just go there for the food and to listen to my friends' singing :P Kekeke.

We stayed there until 11.30pm, when everyone was finally tired out.

Group photos is a must before we leave! :D

Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, scare of evil? :P

Stoned faces :P

So that summed up our day. Nothing was planned beforehand and everything was decided on the spot. I just love how spontaneous everyone is ! :DD And also, I'm so glad that Chun Yee and Aaron are able to click. No awkwardness or whatsoever even though they just met each other. We are so awesome yo! Kekeke.

I've finally had a day off from outings today. Been out since Saturday nonstop and will be out again tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. Must fully utilize my holidays before college reopens! ;P Sigh. Super the lazy to return to college u.u
